2025 Virtual PNIRS Spring Trainee Event
Calling all PNI Trainees! We are happy to announce our virtual PNIRS Spring Trainee Event is back – open to PNI trainees all over the world (and time zones) – PNIRS trainee members and non-members alike! If you are not a trainee but know one (or two!) who would benefit from this program, please pass along this opportunity! We are providing an opportunity for doctoral students, master students and postdocs to present their work virtually to peers and PIs within the field of Psychoneuroimmunology. This virtual event will provide training in science communication skills and an opportunity to discuss the exciting research of the next generation of PNI scientists. We invite you to showcase your research with a 5-minute presentation in a supportive environment with robust discussions. Awards will be made for the best presentations. There will also be two virtual presentation ‘training seminars’ ahead of the trainee presentation event to equip you with best presentation practices. *Please note that this event is different from the official PNIRS 2025 annual meeting in Bordeaux, France, which will be held in-person June 9-12, 2025. There will be a separate call for abstracts for presentation at the Annual Meeting in Bordeaux in January. This virtual PNIRS Spring Trainee Event complements our main annual PNIRS meeting and contributes to year-round training events sponsored by PNIRS. Scheme: Trainees will give 5-minute presentations with an additional 5 minutes for discussion. Teams of chairs will include trainees, PIs, and members of the PNIRS Training Committee. Up to 25 people may join in one parallel session with mandatory visual interactions (i.e., camera on mode to encourage dynamic interactions). Trainees will be the first allowed to ask questions and the best talk in each session (breakout room) will be selected for a virtual PNIRS Spring Event Award. Online voting and rating by the chairs will determine the best talks. Individual feedback on the presentation will be provided by senior PNIRS members after the event (in writing). Timeline:
