New Society Sponsored Journal - Brain, Behavior and Immunity - Integrative

In an effort to promote Eastern biomedical research focused on psychoneuroimmunology, as sister journal to Brain, Behavior, and Immunity, which currently has an impact factor of 19.2, was recently launched called Brain, Behavior, and Immunity – Integrative. Professors Weiwen Wang at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Liye Zou at Shenzhen University and Keith Kelley at the University of Illinois were instrumental in launching the new journal and will serve as Associate Editors.

Carmine Pariante at King’s College London (https://kclpure.kcl.ac.uk/portal/en/organisations/stress-psychiatry-and-immunology-laboratory--section-of-perinatal-psychiatry(de5cbd2a-b3cd-4158-8b2f-24446b587189.html), who is the Editor-in-Chief of Brain, Behavior, and Immunity, will also be the Editor-in-Chief of this new sister journal. It seeks new knowledge and understanding of physiology, psychology and immunology as they are affected by Eastern health practices and medicine (https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/brain-behavior-and-immunity-integrative/about/aims-and-scope). All articles accepted for publication will currently be free and not subjected to the $2,500 article processing charge.

Professor Weiwen Wang is a Professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing and currently serves as Vice Director of the Physiological Psychology Branch of the Chinese Psychological Society (http://sourcedb.psych.cas.cn/en/epsychexpert/200907/t20090731_2289393.html). Professor Liye Zou is an Associate Dean in the School of Psychology at Shenzhen University and Director of the Body-Brain-Mind Laboratory (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Liye-Zou). I served as Editor-in-Chief of Brain, Behavior, and Immunity from 2003 to 2017 and am now Professor Emeritus at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (https://ansc.illinois.edu/directory/kwkelley). 

Four Special Issues by leading global scholars have already been commissioned, and a fifth one is being developed.   4. Traditional and indigenous medicine. Submissions accepted from July 3, 2023 until October 2, 2023.
  5. Acupuncture and Movement for Chronic Pain (In Preparation).
